COULD the Louth-area have its first ever X-Factor winner?
Sixteen-year-old Ella Henderson, from Tetney, wowed the judges and audience in front of millions on the show on Saturday night with her song written about her late grandfather.
Ella drew a standing ovation and judges Mel B, Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos.
Tulisa said of Ella: “You are the one person I really want to mentor. I see something special in you, there’s a spark.”
Take That star Gary Barlow said Ella’s performance was ‘out of this world’ and Louis Walsh told Ella she was ‘a class act’.
Bookmakers have installed Ella as second favourite to win the ITV singing competition outright, with odds as low as 5/1 in some quarters.
