HUNDREDS of people brewed up to raise thousands of pounds locally for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

A number of coffee mornings took place around the Louth area on Friday as part of the national charity’s latest push for funds.

A whopping £1,200 was raised at a coffee morning at the Conoco Rooms in Louth, which had drinks, crafts, games and a huge amount of support from local businesses, many donating takings from the day.

Meanwhile over at the Eastgate branch of Boots in Louth, staff rallied round to raise a brilliant £455 for the Macmillan cause, which Boots have matched to make an overall total of £910.
