The three charities that received money from the Norwich & Peterborough branch in Louth have thanked the public who voted for them.

As reported last week, £500 went to the League of Friends of Louth County Hospital, £300 went to REJ’s Dream, and £200 went to the Lincoln and Lindsey Blind Society after the public voted on which charities should received a share of Norwich & Peterborough’s £1,000 charity giveaway.

Barbara Boobyer, ‘League of Friends’ chairperson, said: “Thank you to all the voters and the Norwich & Peterborough staff, who have been marvellous. The £500 will go towards a Quads Bench for the hospital’s physiotherapy department.”

Beryl Jeffrey, from Rej’s Dream, said: “Thank you to all who voted for us. We have helped 45 families since we began in October 2010, and we give £300 to each family to take the stress away a bit.”
