Trustees’ Week at Home-Start East Lindsey
Home-Start East Lindsey holds its Trustees’ Week from November 5 to 11.
This is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.
Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity’s work
Home-Start East Lindsey is one local charity that relies on the work of its trustees to ensure the on-going support to families in the district. Home-Start Trustees are responsible for the management of the scheme.
“We are reliant on the skills and experience they bring to ensure that the support offered to families and individuals is safe, quality and sustainable. At Home-Start we recruit volunteers for a variety of roles, home-visiting or group support, fundraisers or trustees. Whether volunteers are supporting people directly or in roles such as being a Trustee, we would be unable to support families without all of them.”
Trustees are recruited from across the entire district for their expertise in finance, law, health or social care or simply a shared belief in the ethos of our work.
If you are interested in joining the Trustees, would just like to know some more please contact Tracey Ruddock.

Home-Start East Lindsey has been helping local families for 12 years and currently provides support for over 150 families each year. The families who receive support may be experiencing difficulties for many different reasons including post-natal illness, disability, bereavement, illness of a parent or child, or social isolation which may be exasperated by living in a rural area.
