Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that all roads that were closed this morning following Louth’s flash floods have now been re-opened.

The suspected gas leak that was found earlier in Eastgate, where a number of residents were evacuated as a safety precaution was caused by a minor fault which has been repaired and all residents have since returned to their homes.

Local community officers are currently going door to door in areas affected by the flash flooding, checking on the welfare of residents.

Morrisons supermarket in Louth is also now re-open for business after it had no choice but to close this morning.

As this article was published, there was still a flood warning in place for isolated properties near Louth Canal from Keddington to High Bridge and a flood alert is still in place for Louth Canal and Waithe Beck.

For any further enquiries regarding flooding, the Environment Agency Floodline number is 0845 988 1188.
