Update: Louth woman dies after A157 West Barkwith crash
The Louth woman injured in the crash at West Barkwith on Monday night has sadly died of her injuries.
The woman, 63, was driving her silver Kia Picanto when it was in a collision with a silver Audi TT on the A157 at around 5.15pm on Monday.
She had to be cut free from the car and sustained fractures and internal injuries, but Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that she died earlier today.
She had been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham and underwent surgery on Tuesday.
The road was closed until 11pm after the crash while emergency services cleared the scene.
The driver of the Audi, a 31-year-old woman from Lincoln, received treatment for minor injuries.
Police are renewing their appeal for information about the now-fatal crash to assist them in understanding what happened.
