Update: Road crash on Kenwick Road (June 18)

A man was taken to hospital on a spinal board following a two-car collision on Kenwick Road, Louth, on Wednesday (June 18).

The road had been partially closed, and heavy traffic had developed around the Kenwick Road/Stewton Lane junction where the two car collision took place on Wednesday afternoon.

By 5.45pm, one of the cars involved - a Fiat - was being towed away. The driver, a 29-year-old Louth man who had been alone in the vehicle, was taken to hospital on a spinal board suffering from injuries to his face. He has since left hospital.

The 48-year-old female driver of the other vehicle, a Renault Clio, was treated for cuts and grazes at the scene.

Two Fire & Rescue vehicles, one ambulance, one police car and two PCSOs attended the scene.

Anybody who witnessed the collision can call Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 279 of June 18.
