Urology team at Louth Hospital in £500 boost

The urology department at Louth Hospital have been given a boost in the shape of a generous £500 donation thanks to the Hermes Lodge 6861 of the Masons.

Lincolnshire Masonic New Provincial Benevolent Fund was established to provide financial aid to nominated non-masonic organisations.

And the urology department at Louth County Hospital was chosen as a beneficiary of this fund by the lodge members based within Louth.

Clinical Nurse Specialist at Louth hospital, Angie Parton, explained that the donation would probably be spent on a new treatment couch for the department.

“The department is always very grateful for these donations,” she said.

“Having recently moved to a new department, we will be using the money to continue to purchase new equipment for the department.

“It is likely this money will be used towards the purchase of a new treatment couch.

“Once again on behalf of the urology team I would like to say thank you.

“We very much rely on the kindness and support of charitable donations for the department.”
