FIRE fighters try to put out the blaze at the Methodist Church in Sutton on Sea.
Fire started in the roof after lightning struck.
The church on the roundabout is well known landmark in Sutton to locals and visitors to the resort.
Passers by have spoken of their shock at the fire, which followed a violent thunderstorm over Sutton.
