Video: Full coverage of 2012 Leader Champions awards in the Leader!
LOCAL heroes were celebrated at Thursday’s Leader Champions awards night at the Brackenborough Hotel in Louth.
Overall nine winners cleaned up out of 11 categories, with Marcus Walmsley of Louth picking up the Overall Leader Achiever award for 2012 after he swam the English Channel to raise money for charity, to add to the Brave Heart Hero award he’d picked up just moments earlier.
In a first for this year, sponsors Seacroft Ford of Mablethorpe presented a special award to Trevor Marris of Louth for his sterling community and charity work over the years.
