A small lake has formed in Aswell Hole in Louth, following heavy rain.
The water formed before Christmas and does not appear to be draining way.
It is not clear if a blocked drain may be causing the problem or who has responsibiliy to deal with the water.
The area has been roped off.
Aswell Hole has been used as a cut through from Aswell Street to the Gatherums and Springside area.
The Louth Gatherums and Springside Regeneration Group want eventually to put a footpath through Aswell Hole.
