VIDEO: Launch of 2013 Visitor Guide for Skegness, Mablethorpe and the Lincolnshire Wolds
Tourism leaders in East Lindsey expect 2013 to be a ‘wonderful year’ after 60,000 visitor guides were produced in the most concerted promotional effort to date.
The 55 page 2013 Visitor Guide for Skegness, Mablethorpe and the Lincolnshire Wolds has been produced in partnership between Skegness East Coast and Wolds Hospitality Association and East Lindsey District Council, with the support of other key local organisations.
This year, with the support of East Lincolnshire Destination Management Organisation, the guide will be promoted with a national advertising campaign targeting visitors from areas outside Lincolnshire’s traditional catchment area, with images of the region’s stunning landscapes appearing on buses all over the West Midlands.
Guide committee chairman Nigel Tett said: “With improvements to roads heading east to west, we have the chance to capture some of the 12 million strong population, which lives between Northampton, Nuneaton, Birmingham Wolverhampton and the Potteries.”
Copies are available from tourist information centres.
