Video: Louth real ale campaigners brew a beer in memory of former member
A SPECIAL beer has been brewed in memory of a much loved former member of the Louth and District Campaign For Real Ale, who died in July.
Under the guidance of Phil Ellis of Fulstow Brewery, Louth & District CAMRA members have brewed a beer called Bentley’s Brew, in memory of Jeff Bentley.
The brew was unveiled at the Gas Lamp on Monday morning, and will be on offer at the upcoming Louth Beer Festival in October.
Jeff was one of the founder members of the Louth CAMRA, campaigning actively for real ale.
As well as bring active in helping organise the Louth Beer Festival, he had a vast knowledge on beers and pubs in our area.
Louth Beer Festival runs from Thursday October 4 to Saturday October 6 at the Town and Country Club in Cannon Street.
Here, CAMRA member Nick Louth tells the story of the beer.
