Video: Organisers of Round Louth Walk hand the reins after 14 years

Waiting for Video...

The annual Round Louth Walk has been handed over to new organisers after 14 successful years.

The event, which takes place every year in January from Hubbard’s Hills, has been run by local trio David Bolland, Jenny Crooks and Mike Preen.

And this year they raised a fantastic £1,700 on the day, and £2,039 after sponsorships had been tallied up, thanks to over 300 entrants.

Since it started out, nearly £23,000 has been raised for good causes.

But now the three have decided to call it a day, and have handed over the running of the walk to MacMillan Cancer Support and St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice.
David Bolland said he was confident the event could be bigger and better than ever thanks to the fresh impotus from the two charities.

Watch the video to hear David explaining what future the walk will have, and his feelings on handing it over.
