Video: Paralympic star Jamie Carter takes on Louth pupils in playground race!
Binbrook’s Paralympic star Jamie Carter gave an inspirational talk to youngsters in Louth on Friday, before putting them through their paces by racing against them!
The 18-year-old wheelchair racer, a revelation in last year’s 2012 Games in London, was at Lacey Gardens Primary School to speak to pupils about his experiences and career so far.
His message was clear, ‘don’t give up on your dreams’.
After he and his mum Sandra had discussed their experiences they took pupils’ questions in a Q&A debate before watching some video of Jamie’s races in the 2012 Games, where he reached the final in the 200m race.
He then took to the playground to race against some of the pupils.
Watch the video to see some of what happened.
