St James’ Church turned the Louth skyline a deep shade of blue this week, in aid of International Autism Awareness Week. The majestic church joined landmarks such as the Empire State Building, Sydney Opera House and the CN Tower in the ‘Light It Up Blue’ scheme on Saturday evening (April 5).

The church will light up blue every evening until Saturday April 12. Blue is the adopted colour of the National Autism Society, and the scheme is also supported by local group, Louth Area Autism Family Support (LAAFS).Rector of Louth, Nick Brown, said: “We hope that others might be inspired to set up similar ventures in their own communities.”
