Villagers in Holton le Clay and Tetney to get planning voice
RESIDENTS of Holton le Clay and Tetney will be the first in East Lindsey to create their own Neighbourhood Development Plan thanks to a £20,000 grant.
The two parish councils have established a steering group and will work with the council to establish general planning policies and land use allocations for future local development.
The district council bid on behalf of the two villages as part of the Government’s new Neighbourhood Planning Process.
Coun Craig Leyland, Portfolio Holder for Planning, said: “The district council will be providing the group with training to help them through the process and it is hoped that this training will not only help in the Neighbourhood Planning Process, but will also assist each of the parish councils in its work with the community.”
Public consultations are being planned to ensure the community get to have their say.
There will be public drop-in sessions at Tetney Village Hall on April 21 between 9am and 12noon and at Holten le Clay council office on April 28 at from 10am to 12pm.
