PEOPLE are being encouraged to give Louth a big push so it is recognised as the country’s best market town.
As reported, Louth has been shortlisted in the Britain’s Favourite Market Town category of the BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards.
People can vote for Louth until June 1.
Vote by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the website www.countryfile.com/awardsvote.
All the votes will go into a draw for a two night break in Devon.
Peter Atterby, Louth Town Partnership Chairman, said: “Winning the award for Britain’s Favourite Market Town would be a huge benefit to Louth; firmly putting the town on the map as a tourist destination, which would be a real boost to the town’s sustainability.”
