In addition to this, the Embassy Swimming pool will be hosting an in-house Rookie Lifesaving Gala on Friday June 24 at 6-8pm, where local children who are enrolled on our lifesaving courses will be demonstrating their skills and competing to take the bronze, silver and gold trophies.

Drowning Prevention Week is an annual initiative by the Royal Life Saving Society to give water safety advice and teach people how to stay safe near water. The campaign encourages schools, clubs, leisure centres and communities to promote water safety through events, lessons, games and activities in a bid to make people more aware of the dangers of water.

To book one of the sessions, visit the leisure site you want to take part at or call Meridian Leisure Centre (01507 607650), Embassy Swimming Pool (01754 610675) or Horncastle (01507 522489).
