WI ladies hear about Larkins and Bogles on the loose in Lincolnshire
THE President, Edith Jones, welcomed members to the September meeting of the Legbourne and Little Cawthorpe WI.
After Jerusalem, roll call and business, Edith introduced Mrs Harrison who gave a talk on Lincolnshire Myths and Legends.
She spoke of Yarkins, Greencoates, Boggarts and Bogles all Lincolnshire little people, some good, some bad and bells of long gone churches ringing in the sea. Mrs Harrison was thanked by Marjorie Dring.
The competition was won by Janet West, second, Jennifer Smith, third Betty Allen. Flower of the month was won by Pam Subden.
