A team of colleagues, suppliers and customers from Jewson, the UK’s leading builders’ merchant, took to the road on their bicycles this week to raise money for Macmillan
Cancer Support.

The charity cycle was part of a national campaign that will cover around
2,500 miles in total.

Starting out from seven locations including Mablethorpe, the teams have made their way across the country, stopping for a pit stop at branches and arriving at the head office in
Coventry on September 11.

A single route then set off north, and will finish in John O’Groats on September 20.

The local team left the Mablethorpe branch at
8am, travelling to Louth, Lincoln, and eventually arriving in Newark at 5.02pm.

Mablethorpe branch manager Amanda Ball said: “It was a fabulous day and the support we had was amazing.”

Kirkstead Holiday Park and Sutton Springs Holiday Estate provided free accommodation for some participants the night before the ride.
