A spring concert is taking place in Louth this Sunday (May 8).

The Louth Chamber Choir’s Spring Concert is set to take place this Sunday (May 8) at St James’s Church in Louth, from 7.30pm.

The choir is conducted by Frederic Goodwin and accompanied by the Lincolnshire Chamber Players (Leader Chris Rogers), and also taking part will be the brilliant young organist Stefano Golli, Assistant Organist at Grimsby Minster and a number of soloists will be taken from within the choir.

The rich and varied programme will include choral music ranging from 16th century madrigals to Howard Goodall’s The Lord is my Shepherd, while the orchestra will play Elgar’s tuneful Serenade for Strings and Handel’s Concerto Grosso in D.

Admission is by programme, from members of the choir or at the door on the night.
