Lisa Meanwell’s Elite Academy of Dance from Louth, based at the Meridian Leisure Centre, were invited to dance at Diversity’s very own studios in London.

Seven members of Diversity, the street dance troupe who found fame as the winners of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, conducted a dance workshop with 27 students from the Elite Academy earlier this month.

The Louth dancers had a tour of all of Diversity’s costumes and props, had pictures and autographs signed, and at the end of the day they all did a performance.

The Elite Academy have had workshops with Diversity in the past, but had never visited their studios before,

Principal of the academy Lisa Meanwell told the Leader how proud she was to
have been invited.

Lisa said: “It’s a very rare opportunity to be able to do a workshop with Diversity, but to actually be invited to their studios
was such an amazing experience.

“The routines were very challenging but all students kept up and gave it their
all.”

Lisa added: “Diversity was very impressed with Elite
and it was an amazing opportunity for the dancers to be a part of it.”
