Louth County Hospital staff performed their six day run of ‘Aladdin’ at Cordeaux Academy’s school hall last week, successfully drawing in sell-out crowds on the final two nights of the production.

Just under £4,000 has been raised, which will be split between the League of Friends of Louth County Hospital and Cordeaux Academy.

Julie Gracie said: “It all went very well and we had good audiences in every night. Special thanks go to all the staff, our lighting man Keith Dowse, Cordeaux Academy for allowing us to use their facilities, and the ladies who served the refreshments.

“Thanks also go to Mark Willoughby, who stepped as to play the role of Turkey Lil just nine weeks before the production after a cast member fell ill, and learnt 260 lines!”
