Louth lady Kerry Lill volunteered to have all her hair shaved off last week to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The 23-year-old had thought about shaving her head for some time, but only decided to go for it after hearing an advert on the radio which requested listeners to “brave the shave” for charity.

She decided to take on the challenge at Urban Studio in Northgate, Louth, on Saturday.

Kerry said: “I felt really nervous before getting my head shaved - the shortest I’ve ever had it before is a bob, but it’s usually shoulder-length.

“Since I got it done, it’s been cold but people say it suits me. Although I’ve been compared to Sinead O’Connor a few times.”

Kerry added: “I would like to thank my Auntie Cheryl, as she’s helped organise it.

“Thank you to everybody who has donated or is going to donate - you will all help make a very big difference to people suffering from cancer.”
