THE Louth Music Festival starts on FridayJuly 1, with an exciting choice of 30 events between July 1 and 10, in at least 18 different venues around the town.
Friday night begins with Party in the Pews at St James’ Church starting at 6pm, following an afternoon recital from Craig Pillans at 1pm.
Nearby Westgate House is hosting a chamber recital starting at 7.30pm from two talented young musicians, Oscar Alabau Fernandez on violoncello and Ricard Rovirosa Cabre on pianoforte, both studying at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Tickets from 01507 354388.
The weekend continues with Music in the Market Place and an opportunity to find out more about the festival from James Pocklington’s stall.
There will also be local musicians at The Greyhound garden from 2.30pm and in the evening choose between the charms of long established New Orleans Jazz Club on Queen Street and Soul Solution eleven piece band playing at The Kings Head - or try both!
