A LOUTH duo are on their way to raising enough money to lend their talents to the people of Madagascar during a month’s trip.

Bethany Wilkinson and Phoebe Lonsdale, both 14, need to raise £3,700 in order to take part in World Challenge Madagascar 2014.

The Monks’ Dyke Technology College pupils have been busy arranging quiz nights, bingo nights and more as they bid to make enough cash to make their dream a reality.

If they succeed, they will be able to spend a full month on the Indian Ocean island doing voluntary work.

At present they are holding regular bingo nights at Louth Conservative Club and are looking for raffle prizes and other fundraising ideas.

The pair are happy to do dog walking, baby sitting and any other odd jobs to help raise the money they need.

They can be contacted on 07519 621966.
