Don’t be bored during the summer holidays – there’s a drama workshop to suit all ages and abilities at the Louth Playgoers Riverhead Theatre.
July 28 to August 10 for 15 to 20-year-olds: This is a must for students with an interest in theatre. The workshop is run by three full-time professionals with considerable experience. At the end of the course, students present a full performance of this year’s workshop show Grease for three nights to public audiences. Course £60.
August 12 to 16 for seven to 10-year-olds, August 19 to 23 for 10 to 13-year-olds: Tell Tale Hearts Theatre are back to run one week workshops of theatre, fun and comedy. The challenge of making a show in a week, that is co-scripted and devised by the children, has become a Playgoers legend.
Courses are £35 per week.
August 19 to 23: Multi award-winning actor, writer and director, Ben Keaton, is bringing the Lincoln Film and TV School Summer school to Louth.
This exciting course is aimed at all young people aged 11 and over interested in film making. It will cover every aspect from using cameras to directing and acting. This is a unique opportunity to work with professionals and make brilliant movies. Course £100.
August 27 to 30: Zest Theatre’s Summer Challenge for ages 11 to 19: If you are interested in acting, writing, directing and producing then this is for you. A chance to work like a professional with other young folks and create a piece of theatre – write it, rehearse it, produce and perform to a live audience in just four days. Course free of charge.
