Louth police cadets promise to serve

Fifteen police cadets took an oath of attestation to Lincolnshire Police at the Sessions House in Louth. The venue was chosen as a fitting place for this important ceremony because of the links to Lincolnshire Police and the court system, being the former Magistrates Courthouse. This was the inaugural ceremony but future cadets will take the same attestation. The evening was attended by The Mayor and Mayoress of Louth, Coun David and Phyll Wing and Chief Officer Steve Woodcock MBE, Officer commanding the Special Constabulary.

The attestation took the form of “I promise to serve and support my community with dignity and pride, to always be a good citizen, respectful to others, honest and committed to Lincolnshire Police.”

The evening was concluded with a buffet and refreshments.
