The ‘Churches Together Louth District Syrian Refugee Support Group’ collected over 100 bags full of clothes and other essentials from generous members of the public at the Trinity Centre last month, with donations going to Syrian refugees on Lesvos in Greece.

Louth Trinity councillor Ros Jackson said: “It was tremendously gratifying to see people going out of their way to extend a hand of friendship and support to people in war-torn Syria.

“This event’s success proves that Lincolnshire people welcome refugees.”
