Louth Run for Life countdown begins

THE starting gun has been fired on the countdown to the big Louth Run for Life this summer.

Entry forms are now available for the hugely popular run to be held on Sunday June 24 in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Forms can be picked up from the Cancer Research shop in town, Doe and Brierley’s office in Upgate or The Gaff hairdressers in the Cornmarket.

They can also be downloaded from www.louthrunforlife.webs.com

Race Director John Jaines said: “We have already received several completed entry forms and had requests from several large businesses in the town for forms for their staff, which is most encouraging.

“Over the coming weeks the Run for Life committee will be out and about promoting the event and are quietly optimistic that this year’s event will be the biggest and best yet.”

To encourage people to enter early and to save the small team much work on the day a late entry levy has been introduced this year of £5 extra for seniors on the day.
