Louth’s Rainbows, Brownies and Girl Guides gathered at the Holy Trinity Church on Thursday April 10 to celebrate their 100 year anniversary.

The children spent the evening taking part in crafts, including engraving glass with ‘100 years of Brownies’ to keep as a souvenir. They also took part in party games, enjoyed party food and drinks, and were all given a commemorative badge to keep - all while dressed up wearing yellow and brown, the official colours of the Brownies uniform.

The party was part of the national ‘Big Brownie Birthday’ project. The scheme has seen events and challenges being held across the country to celebrate the Centenary, with the quarter of a million Brownies around the UK taking part at their local branches.
