Louth secure second

LOUTH put in another gritty performance at the 2nd round of the Lincs Premier Senior Swimming League to secure a well-deserved second place after winning 13 of the 48 races.

The first individual win came early in the evening with Rebecca Dunning (15) winning the Girls Open 100m Freestyle, she was soon followed by 11-year-old ‘Rocket’ Jan Meiwald who was ‘Louth Swimmer of the Night’ as he achieved wins in the Boys 12/u 50m Backstroke and the Boys 12/u 50m Freestyle.

Also earning victories for Louth were Thomas Harrop and Sofie Schneider while the open ladies team made up of Rebecca Dunning, Sophie Long, Alex Swaby and Anne Meiwald had double relay wins in the 4 x 50m Freestyle and Medley events,

The boys 12/u team of Jan Meiwald, Ivan Koslow, Tom Harrop and Josh Wright also achieved double relay wins.

Individual second places on the night went to Marie Schneider, Alex Swaby, Daniel Challis, Emily Patch, Megan Hodgson, Tom Richardson, William Kemp and Anne Meiwald.

Final points were: 1 Cleethorpes and Scunthorpe Anchor (CASA) Red 150 pts, 2 Louth 130 pts, 3 Gainsborough Dolphins 125 pts, 4 City of Lincoln Pentaqua 74 pts.
