A Louth couple are sharing the same healthy foods in a bid to improve their health and have already lost over four-stone between them.

Kathryn Johnson and husband Frazer who are part of the Meridian Leisure Centre Slimming World group have also been named the group’s Couple of the Year 2017.

Farming pair Kathryn, 32, and Frazer, 38, believe that preparing, cooking and eating the same meals, alongside supporting one another on their weight loss journeys has been key to their success.

Kathryn has lost over three stone in just six month. She said: “When we first joined Slimming World we couldn’t believe how much food we could eat and still lose weight.

“Making small changes to the way we cooked our meals meant we could still enjoy all of our favourite meals.”

Frazer who is one stone, 7lbs lighter said: “We are so pleased as we both suffer from a range of medical problems and finally we feel as if we are giving ourselves the best chance of good health.”

Kathryn added: “As we’ve lost weight we’ve enjoyed being more active too, which means we do more together around the farm, like exercising the horses and walking our beloved dog, Fergie.
