Louth teen due in court over shoplifting spree

A Louth teenager is due to appear in court this week to face two charges of theft from shops in Cleethorpes, and a charge of failing to appear in court.

The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, allegedly stole £70.98 worth of goods from Tesco Extra and also stole £37.94 worth of various items from Poundstretcher on November 1.

The boy is also charged with failing to attend Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on November 17 in relation to the theft charges.

He is next due to appear at court in Skegness on Friday (January 9).
