STAFF at Wilkinson in Louth have been busy raising funds to help one of their own go on the trip of a lifetime.

Ellie Shaw, 18, is completing her A-levels at Monks Dyke Technology College and needed to raise £4,000 to be able to participate in the World Challenge which is run through the school.

When staff at Wilkinson heard about Ellie’s challenge they suggested they have a fundraising day in-store to help her raise some extra funds.

Ellie said: “I was really shocked they were organising the event to help me, but it’s nice to know I’ve got their support.

“They helped me to raise £708 on the day and have given me the final funds I need for the trip. It’s a fantastic feeling and a worry off my shoulders.”

Ellie will take part in the four-week World Challenge in July helping children in Mozambique and Swaziland in South Africa.

Manageress Tracey Clark and Assistant Manager Karen Jaines want to thank Dales and Robinsons for the donations of raffle prizes and Jacksons for donating the cakes.

Also a big thank you goes out to all of the team for supporting Ellie and the customers that participated on the day.
