Another great grading session was had at the British Chinese Kickboxing Association (BCKA) Mablethorpe branch with 13 students passing their gradings.

Four of these students have also managed to pull off a double grade passing their first two belts in one go.

Mablethorpe’s BCKA instructor, Stuart Hurren said: “Over the last three months, everyone has work tirelessly to work towards these gradings. “All have put their heart and soul into what was needed to gain their grades and show what it is to be a member of one of the biggest kickboxing associations in Europe and a major player on the world stage.”

Recently the club had an injection of pride due to instructor Stuart winning the sporting hero of the year award at this year’s Leader Champions Community Awards.

Stuart added: “The club wouldn’t be what it is today without the students, so I dedicate this award to them and my daughter, instructor Lily Hurren for all their hard work over the past year.”

Students that gained their grades were, A J Wotton, Charlotte Hurren, Ellis Sutton, Leon Whalley, Baily Barber, Nichole Borthwick, Chloe Peach, Craig Benson, Danny Ramsden, Jack Herbert, Leo Burton, Tyler McCormack and Poppy Hewson.

“Well done to you all, Stuart said.”
