THE annual East Coast Classic 3k and 10k run took place on Sunday in blustery conditions.
A good turn-out of runners from across the region came to take part in the course which encouraged fast times thanks to its flat route.
The sun was shining as the 10k race got underway at 11am from the Mablethorpe Lifeboat Station, and there was an excitment in the air as the several hundred runners completed their final warm ups and set off on the gruelling distance.
The first over the line in the 10k race was Richard Brown of Lincoln, who posted a time of 33 minutes and 23 seconds. Richard is a member of the Wellington Running Club.
Meanwhile Callum Ely, who lives in Cleethorpes, crossed the line first in the 3k run, which began at 10am.
