Nearly 700 people from across the country descended on Mablethorpe as runners took part in towns annual Marathon and Half Marathon.

Once again the runners were full of admiration for the marshals and the reception they received from the people of Mablethorpe lining the route.

There were many personal best times achieved and thousands of pounds raised for a wide variety of charitable causes.

Mauren was a founder member of the marathon and registration secretary for many years. She sadly died in May this year.

A big thank you goes out to everyone who attended this year’s event and to everyone who helped out on the day.
