Mablethorpe Youth Forum to soon operate as a Youth Council

Mablethorpe’s Youth Forum will soon have the opportunity to operate as the town’s new Youth Council thanks to support from Mablethorpe Town Council.

This will help to ensure that the voices of local young people are heard through a recognised and well respected organisation.

Youth council members will represent young people in the community and be able to help voice their concerns, participate in local government and be empowered to take decisions and action to improve their local community.

Town councillors will become mentors for the group and be able to advise on local issues affecting the young people to enable them to act to improve or change things locally.

To get involved in this exciting development for Mablethorpe, young people are invited to a meeting which will be taking place at the Mablethorpe CAP Offices in Stanley Avenue on Monday, June 17 at 5.30pm.

At this meeting you will hear of the future developments and how you can nominate or be nominated for one of our officers roles within the council.
