Macmillan aiming bigger

AFTER a successful first year’s fundraising, the Louth Macmillan fundraising group are aiming to make this year’s events bigger and better than ever.

With a massive £2,262.11 raised from last year’s events, the group are now searching for new members and want to raise the profile of their group. All of the funds that are raised by the group stays local and is used to help local people in the area.

The group’s recent coffee morning raised £249.49 and they would like to thank everyone that supported them.

Their next coffee morning is on May 26 at the Conoco Philips Room from 10am-12 noon.

Local schools and businesses are also being asked to get involved. Contributions from local businesses or schools that might like to have a non-uniform day raising money for the cause would be very welcome.

The group currently has 16 members, many holding down full-time jobs and contribute in their spare time.

The group are always looking for anyone who could dedicate some of their time and ideas to the cause.
