A PENSIONER has died after a road crash.
Police are appealing for information after a silver Skoda Fabia left the road and hit a tree on Back Lane at Bilsby at about 10.15am on Monday.
The Skoda was travelling towards Bilsby, from Alford.
Both the occupants of the vehicle were injured, although at the time it was not thought that the injuries were life threatening.
The driver, an 89-year-old man from Mablethorpe, subsequently died on Tuesday at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston.
Police are urging anyone who either saw the collision, or the vehicle before the collision to contact Lincolnshire Police Collision Investigation Team on the witness appeal line 01522 558855.
This fatality brings to 20 the number of people killed on Lincolnshire’s roads in this calendar year.
This compares to 16, the figure for 2010 at the same point in the year.
