JULY was a busy month for the members of Manby and Grimoldby WI.
On July 14 they were given a talk about basket making, while being shown how to make a garden obelisk out of willow by Susi Mulligan
On July 16 Afternoon Tea in the Garden took place at Church House, Grimoldby, by kind permission of Christine Baxter. Despite the dubious weather the afternoon raised a successful amount for the MS Trust and local charity Lincoln and Lindsey Blind Society.
On July 21 members visited Cote Hill Farm, Osgodby, to firstly watch the milking take place then hear about the history of the farm and how they come to be making the well known Cote Hill Blue cheese.
Michael Davenport gave a talk which was followed by a tour of the cheese making rooms. Lastly members were treated to a tasting of the three cheeses now produced on the farm, the Blue, the Yellow Belly and the Red. Following the visit the members the members went to Jossals in Market Rasen for a meal.
