Maths marvels at King Edward VI Grammar School

SIXTY maths students at King Edward VI Grammar School have achieved ‘amazing’ exam success.

The Year 11 students were entered in November for their GCSE final Maths exam.

The school says results just released show a 90 per cent achievement at A*/A and 10 per cent at B grade.

Tim Hayday, Director of Extended Provision and Head of Mathematics, said: “This was an amazing achievement and all should be congratulated for their hard work and commitment. These students will now be entered for their International IGCSE Mathematics in the summer.”

l King Edwards is holding an Easter Crammer Course during the first week of the Easter holidays for GCSE, AS, and A2 students.

Specialist subject teachers will help students from Monday April 2 to Thursday April 5.

Subjects on offer are Maths, French, Spanish, German, Psychology and History at all levels and English Language, English Literature, Sport Studies and Geography at GCSE.

Pupils are welcome from all secondary schools and colleges.
