A new group is meeting to oppose plans for up to 970 homes on the edge of the town.

Developers want outline planning permission for the homes on land either side of Legbourne Road.

A meeting of new group RAGS (Residents Against Gateway Scheme) will be held on Thursday October 31 at 7pm at Kenwick Nursery Tea Rooms.

They plan to form a committee to ‘oppose the planned building development near Weavers Tryst Housing.’
