Memorial match to Colin Blades

THE seventh annual Colin Blades Memorial Fund Charity Football Match takes place on Sunday May 29 at Park Avenue, Louth.

An East Lincs Combination Select XI Team will take on their customary rivals Louth Town FC.

There will also be a Legends of the Game veterans match. Anybody who would like to play in the match and is 35 or over can contact Eddie Clark by texting 07824 324 160. People must have played before or been a friend of Colin.

There will also be a raffle and barbeque and people can donated raffle prizes by taking them on the day.

The game is played in memory of Colin Blades, who was killed in a work place accident in 2004.

Over the last seven years the fund has raised more than £30,000 which has helped local sports at grass roots level in the district.

Gates open at 2.30pm and the first kick off is scheduled for 3pm.

Admission fees are £2.50 for adults and £1 for under 16’s.
