St James’ Church in Louth recently saw cheering, stamping and a standing ovation for the musical delights offered by Internatioal Opera Singer Simon Neal who is the Louth-based baritone who was performing alongaide the Louth ladies choir, The Meridian Singers.

A very varied programme was seen on the evening which included operatic works, traditional folk songs and favourties from musicals, Simon duetting with the choir in pieces from Faure’s Requiem and by Irving Berlin.

The accompanist was Gill Park and the musical
director was Michael Flowers, both of whom contributed
hugely to a wonderfully enjoyable evening’s
entertainment.

The Meridian Singers would like to thank everyone who came out to see them perform as their support is greatly
appreciated.

The group also performed recently at Sutton on Sea Methodist Church,
