The Official Monster Raving Loony Party’s candidate for the Louth and Horncastle constituency at this year’s general election, Peter E Hill, speaks to the Leader.

Mr Hill will take on fellow candidates Victoria Atkins (Conservative), Matthew Brown (Labour), Colin Mair (UKIP) and Romy Rayner (Green Party) in the fight for the Louth and Horncastle constituency at the general election on May 7.

Mr Hill, from the village of Great Carlton, has lived in the area for the past 15 years and is a retired engineer, inventor and writer.

Mr Hill said: “I’ve been involved with other parties in the past, but it seems that most of them are in it more
for what they can take than what they can give.

“The Official Monster Raving Loony Party is not sponsored by big business, and I will be paying for my own deposit. “This is something that I have always wanted to do”.

Mr Hill added that some of his priority issues include repairing local roads rather than building new motorways, and guaranteeing fair pay for farmers’ produce so they are not priced out by supermarkets.
