MUSIC filled the sea air along Mablethorpe’s promenade over the weekend as musicians took to the sandy stage to perform at the resort’s first Busking Festival.

Everything from solos to group performers and guitars to fiddles were included in the event which took place at four different locations spreading across the promenade.

Town Manager Karen Froggatt said: “Mablethorpe’s Busking Festival went extremely well on Saturday. There was a great atmosphere and some great music which was enjoyed by many.

“The buskers really enjoyed themselves too with many looking forward to coming back next year, so it will definitely be on our events programme again.”

Organiser, Steve Jackson described the event as a ‘grand day out’.

He added: “The feedback we received from the musicians was overwhelming.

“Considering it was the first time an event like this has been organised in Mablethorpe, it was a resounding success.”
