Myers bakery talk

A PLOUGHMAN’S Supper including Dambuster cheese was on the menu for the recent meeting of the Wragby Supper Club held at the Methodist Chapel.

The 40 people present enjoyed a visit from the Myers family from the well known Horncastle bakery who gave a brief history of their family run business and talked of the goods they produce, with samples including their famous Lincolnshire plum bread. The last meeting of the Supper Club for 2011 was Party Nite held at the Buzz Stop at Rand when a traditional Christmas meal was served, with the happy social event rounding off a very successful and varied programme of monthly events for the club.

It is getting increasingly popular and the first Supper Club meeting of the new year will be on Friday January 21 when the theme will be Recite for Your Supper and all are asked to take along a contribution towards a shared supper and a story or poem to share with fellow guests to provide the evenings entertainment.
